It's Spring

I am so glad the weather is finally getting nicer!  I love spring because of all the beautiful flowers and the longer days, but the allergies have been terrible! Mother's Day will be here before you know it and that is certainly a sign of spring.  As long as I can remember my dad would always get my mom two hanging baskets for the front porch and they would last for the entire summer.  I'm lucky if I can keep a plant alive for a week!  So for a quick Mother's Day project I thought I would share my version of the pop can flower pin. I found the idea on pinterest as I do most of my craft projects.  Someday maybe I will surprise everyone and come up with an original idea (probably will never happen).
Speaking of spring the challenge for this month on the Stinkin' Inkers challenge blog is "It's Spring!.
Join us in sharing your idea of what reminds you of spring! Until next time, Happy Crafting

My Cup of Tea

Well, it's been along time since my last post.  We are going to try this again!  My friend Terri and I have a blog together called the Stinkin' Inkers.  We are going to start doing monthly challenges with a theme and hope you will join us.  This month's challenge is "Shower of Flowers".

I love making mini album and decided I would make one using this month's theme!  Terri and I went to a crafting retreat a few weeks ago and I started it then and finally finished it last week.  I am still learning the ins and outs of blogging so please bear with me.  I hope you enjoy the pictures of the album as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thanks for stopping by, so why not head on over to the Stinkin' Inkers and enter your own creation for a chance to become our first top winner!

What a week!

This has been one of the craziest weeks ever.  I didn't get a posting done last week because I was not feeling well.  I was on my way to work a week ago this past Thursday and stopped at Mc Donald's for breakfast.  Half way to work and about four bites into my hash brown, my jaw started to lock up and a golf ball size knot formed just below my ear.  By the time I made it to work the whole right side of my face was swollen and I looked like I had the mumps!  I was really worried because my daughter is pregnant and I have a 1 year old grand daughter.  I went to the ER and found out that I had a salivary gland stone. Ouch! The treatment was simple; eat sour stuff.  The doctor said to get a box of lemonheads to help produce more saliva to push out the stone.  If it didn't go away in a couple of days I was to see a specialist and have it surgically removed.  Thank goodness it passed.  It was about the size of a dried split pea.  If something goofy is going to happen, it's going to be me that it happens to.  Go figure! Other things happened this week too.  My daughter was sick, my husband's Aunt passed away and my son-in-law was in a car accident.  Boy, am I ever glad the week is over!

My goal this week is to look into doing some challenges.  My friend Terri is owner of crafting with attitude challenge blog so I think I will start there!  Hope to have pictures next week!

From my craft pad to your... Have a super week!

Brrrrrr..... Baby it's cold outside!

I think winter has finally arrived in Ohio for sure.  We were really spoiled with the warm temperatures in December. Today, Terri and I made a trip to Pat Catan's to get some crafting supplies to take away the winter blues.  It worked!  You can never have enough crafting supplies!  Terri agrees!  We stopped at Big Lots on the way home and found lots of bargains there too.  The trunk was full of all the stuff I bought that was gluten free!  What a find-  pasta noodles to yummy iced coffee.

Later today my husband, oldest daughter and I are going to sit down and start planning my craft room design.  I am so excited that I will finally have a craft room that will make me happy.  No more boxes and bags to search through.  I want everything to have its own place.  We are starting with a clean slate so now is the time to get everything organized.  After the planning session tonight I will have a better estimate on the time it will take and once construction starts I will included photos of the progress.

From my craft pad to yours...  Stay warm and happy crafting!!

My second post!

Today is my second posting on my blog.  Today my friend Terri and I worked on some snowman pins for my Eastern Star group. Terri made one for me for Christmas and I fell in love with it!  You can view hers here.  Aren't they cute!  I made mine using my Silhoutte Cameo (I am lazy).  I have to give Terri the credit for the bows-I really stink at tying pretty bows.

We made 45 of these little guys, but we had a blast.  I think we like to do crafts like this so we can sit and chit chat and look like we are really busy when our husbands ask what we are doing.  Terri and I are working on remodeling our craft rooms.  Today my oldest daughter and her significant other started the demolition in my basement to get things rolling!

Welcome to My Blog

My name is Judy Wayt.  This is my first time blogging.  I have been a crafter of all sorts since I was a small child.  I have done everything from ceramics to scrapbooking, but my favorite  is card making.  My friends have been trying to get me to start a blog for several years and since my New Year Resolution is to try something new, I decided this would be it!

Because I love so many different crafts, I would like to share the things I have created.  My goal is to share my passion for crafting through photo and video tutorials. I have just become a Journey Coach for Fun Stampers Journey, a fairly new direct sales company of cling stamps and card making products.

This is a new process for me so bare with me while I learn all the ins and outs of  becoming a blogger!

From my pad to yours -Happy New Year to All!

Until next time......Judy
